Vinyl LP pressing. Fossora is Björk's tenth album. The album was partially inspired by the 2018 passing of Björk's mother, Hildur Rúna Hauksdóttir, with notable tracks including "Sorrowful Soil" and "Ancestress". Collaborators on the album include American singer Serpentwithfeet, Björk's two children Sindri and Ísadóra, Indonesian dance duo Gabber Modus Operandi, and a bass clarinet sextet.

Released in a glossy gatefold sleeve with a hype sticker on the shrinkwrap, this reissue of the original 2022 black vinyl includes the final master of the album. Changes were made to tracks A2, B2, D2, and D3. The cover artwork has been updated with a smaller "Björk" logo, and the typo on the title of track B1 has been fixed.

According to Björk's website store, the 2023 repressing of her tenth studio album 'Fossora' includes edits and updates such as an updated version of 'Ovule' with additional production from El Guincho & sideproject, 'Ancestress' featuring additional vocals from Sindri Eldon, 'Her Mother's House' featuring additional vocals from Ísadóra Bjarkardóttir Barney, and 'Fossora’ featuring updated vocal effects.
