David Byrne & Fatboy Slim's acclaimed 2010 album "Here Lies Love" receives its first-ever vinyl release to coincide with a new production opening on Broadway. "Here Lies Love" is a double-disc song cycle that is improbably poignant, decidedly surreal, and surprisingly thought-provoking, focusing on the rise and fall of the Philippines' notorious Imelda Marcos. Conceived by David Byrne and composed by Byrne and DJ/recording artist Fatboy Slim (Norman Cook), the album features a dream cast from the worlds of indie rock, alt country, R&B, and pop. Collaborators include Cyndi Lauper, Steve Earle, Sharon Jones, Natalie Merchant, Tori Amos, Kate Pierson of the B-52's, St. Vincent, My Brightest Diamond, Nellie McKay, Martha Wainwright, Róisín Murphy, and Santigold. Byrne himself appears on 'American Troglodyte', a satirical track that echoes Talking Heads' style.
