Celebrating its 35th anniversary, Mute / BMG announce a special edition of "A Way of Life," the third studio album by the influential electronic-punk duo SUICIDE, set to be released on 26th May. Despite receiving little credit during their career, Suicide is recognized as one of the most inspirational bands of the 1970s, influencing artists such as Soft Cell, Depeche Mode, and The Jesus And Mary Chain. The band has garnered fans in Nick Cave, Jim Thirlwell, M.I.A., Spiritualized, Lydia Lunch, Bobby Gillespie, and Savages, among others. Originally released in 1988, more than a decade after their iconic self-titled album, "A Way of Life" saw Alan Vega & Martin Rev team up once again with The Cars' frontman Ric Ocasek to produce "nine creepily ingratiated industrial pop songs" (Pitchfork). This anniversary edition is available on Limited Edition Yellow Vinyl, CD, and Digital formats and features the album fully remastered by Denis Blackham (Skye Mastering). Each format includes bonus tracks 'Heat Beat' and a newly unearthed live cover of Bruce Springsteen's 'Born in the USA'.
