Vinyl LP pressing. 2023 release. Grammy Award-winning band Phoenix returns with Alpha Zulu. The project was recorded during the height of the pandemic in Paris, at the iconic Louvre museum. The band had this to say about the creation of the album: "Over the last year and a half, we've been writing and recording in our hometown of Paris, in a remote corner turned studio of the Decorative Arts Museum in the Palace of the Louvre. Mostly all alone for months, the museum has now reopened, and we're putting the final touches on our new record and are ready to share its first song - Alpha Zulu. We hope you like it and can't wait to play it live for you. See you soon, Branco, Christian, Deck, and Thomas."

"Identical" features a sample from "Uyang'khumbula" by Faka, released in 2017.

The album was recorded and produced at Le Musée des Arts Décoratifs, Palace of Louvre in Paris, France, with the exception of "Identical," which was recorded at La Gaite Lyrique and Motorbass Studios in Paris. Additional drums and percussions on "After Midnight" were recorded at Sandås Silence in Umeå. The mixing took place at Larrabee Studios in North Hollywood, CA.

The cover art is inspired by Sandro Botticelli's "Madonna con bambino e otto angeli" from 1477, located in the Gemäldegalerie in Berlin.

Released in 2022, this album is under the label Loyauté, exclusively licensed to Glassnote Entertainment Group LLC.
