Rateliff's warm baritone voice, ranging from gentle whispers to powerful howls, infuses these character studies with raw, heartfelt emotion. Produced by Rateliff, Night Sweats' drummer Patrick Meese, and James Barone of Beach House, the album was primarily recorded at National Freedom in Cottage Grove, Oregon, formerly owned by the late Richard Swift. Standout tracks include the vivid 'What A Drag,' the haunting 'Tonight #2,' the epic 'Time Stands,' and the poignant 'Rush On.'
