Repressing of the Authorized Hendrix Family Edition in celebration of its 50th Anniversary. This is the first-ever U.S. release of the 2010 remaster on 180-gram audiophile black vinyl. The gatefold jacket includes a plastic transparent inner sleeve and an eight-page booklet with liner notes. Additionally, it comes with a 24" x 36" replica of Capitol Records' original promotional Band of Gypsys poster. Recorded live on New Year's Eve 1969-1970 at Fillmore East in New York. Runout details: everything is handwritten except for the Sterling logo, which is stamped on each side.
