The Mighty Diamonds are considered one of Jamaica's greatest vocal trios, alongside iconic groups like the Wailers, Heptones, Burning Spear, and Culture. Emerging at Channel One and gaining wider recognition on Virgin's Frontline label, the trio consisting of Fitzroy "Bunny" Simpson, Lloyd "Judge" Ferguson, and lead singer Donald "Tabby" Shaw continued their musical journey beyond the seventies. Collaborating with London's Ruff Cutt band, led by guitarist/producer Tony "Crucial" Philips, The Mighty Diamonds released two singles in 1999/2000, "White Squall" and the title track of this album, showcasing a revolutionary sound that delighted fans. This album features these tracks along with three previously unreleased songs from the same sessions, all accompanied by dubs that rivalled the best of Jamaican music at the time.
