Limited 180gm vinyl LP pressing in gatefold jacket. "Bridge over Troubled Water" is the fifth and final studio album by Simon & Garfunkel, released in January 1970 on Columbia Records. Produced by Roy Halee, the album followed a similar musical pattern as their previous work, "Bookends," while incorporating elements of rock, R&B, gospel, jazz, world music, and pop. It was hailed as their "most effortless record and their most ambitious." Despite critical acclaim, the duo decided to part ways in 1970; Garfunkel pursued his film career, while Simon focused on his music.
