Double vinyl LP pressing in gatefold jacket. "Cats Under the Stars" is an album by the Jerry Garcia Band, released in 1978. It is the only studio album credited to the band and marked Jerry Garcia's debut on the Arista label. This LP was the first to bear the band name Jerry Garcia Band and features contributions from Keith and Donna Godchaux, both members of the Garcia Band at the time. Notably, the album was recorded at the Grateful Dead's Club Front in San Rafael, a warehouse space initially used for band rehearsals and later transformed into a studio.
