Limited 180gm vinyl LP pressing. Tenor saxophonist Stanley Turrentine infused every note he played with emotion and soul. His lesser-known 1968 classic, "Common Touch," showcases the talents of organist Shirley Scott, guitarist Jimmy Ponder, bassist Bob Cranshaw, and drummer Leo Morris (aka Idris Muhammad). Standout tracks include the groovy "Buster Brown" and the slow burn of "Lonely Avenue." Part of the Blue Note Classic Vinyl Series, this album is all-analog and mastered by Kevin Gray from the original master tapes.
