Recorded at Orange County Studios in 1981, these 6 songs mark Christian Death's first studio recordings before signing with Frontier Records for [r=381396]. Originally intended for the punk compilation album [r=836321] by Bemisbrain Records, only "Dogs" made the final cut. The cover features a reproduction of Fernand Khnopff's painting "Who shall deliver me," while the reverse includes French text by Jean Lorrain and a picture of a child seated on the coffin of a deceased woman (Alfred Kubin's "la fiancée de la mort"). This reissue showcases a black gatefold jacket, a departure from the previous orange covers, and includes a "Made in Canada" sticker on the back cover.
