Kaoru Inoue, also known as Chari Chari, is a Japanese DJ and music producer based in Tokyo. He has created numerous musical works and remixes and has performed at various nightclubs and outdoor rave parties in Japan and around the world for over three decades.
Kaoru Inoue’s latest album, "Dedicated to the Island," is inspired by a field recording at the UNESCO World Heritage Site Yakushima Island. Initially released as a CD supplement to the travel magazine SAUNTER, the album features organic, tribal, electronic, and minimal ambient music.
Biography:
Kaoru Inoue, a DJ and music producer from Tokyo, is the founder of the label Seeds And Ground. His musical journey began in high school and continued through his early 20s as a guitarist in punk rock bands. In 1989, he discovered acid jazz, sparking his interest in DJ culture. Under the aliases Kaoru Inoue and Chari Chari, he has crafted a diverse portfolio of musical works and remixes, captivating audiences at indoor clubs and outdoor festivals. In 2020, after an 18-year hiatus, Kaoru Inoue released a new album under the name Chari Chari, titled "We hear the last decades dreaming." This collection of organic-electronic compositions showcases an exotic design emerging from the depths of creativity.
