Deltron 3030

Deltron 3030 is an alternative hip hop supergroup consisting of producer Dan the Automator, rapper Del the Funky Homosapien (known as Deltron Osiris/Deltron Zero for the album), and Kid Koala. The group collaborates with various musicians under futuristic pseudonyms. Their debut album, "Deltron 3030," released on May 23, 2000, is a concept album set in the year 3030. It narrates Deltron Zero's (Del's alter ego) battle against dominant corporations in the universe. The album's lyrics, written in under two weeks, feature extravagant allusions to futuristic outer-space themes inspired by Afrofuturist works of Sun Ra and George Clinton. The album incorporates samples from the contemporary French classical composer William Sheller.
