BMG's president, Alistair Norbury, revealed that Minogue took a more hands-on approach to the production of her new record, even learning to use Logic for engineering and recording her own vocals. Produced by long-time collaborator Biff Stannard, the disco-tinged lead single "Say Something" features particularly poignant lyrics for the world of 2020: "We're a million miles apart in a thousand ways... Love is love it never ends, can we all be as one again?" The Telegraph proclaimed that "Kylie's disco revival is just what the nation needs."
