Distant Populations

Distant Populations is the fourth full-length album of Quicksand's career, following a 22-year gap since their previous album, Interiors. Praised for its punchier, up-tempo sound, the album features 11 concise songs that showcase the band's raw power and gripping lyricism. After touring worldwide post-Interiors, the band - frontman/guitarist Walter Schreifels, bassist Sergio Vega, and drummer Alan Cage - meticulously recorded various soundchecks and improvisations to create this record. Despite the title, Distant Populations was crafted for listeners far and wide, as none of the songs have been performed live yet. With upcoming fall dates on hold, fans eagerly anticipate what could be Quicksand's most memorable shows to date.
