Fragments

Fragments is an emotionally intense record by Simon Green, also known as his masterpiece. The album features collaborations with Jamila Woods, Joji, Kadhja Bonet, Jordan Rakei, O'Flynn, and Miguel Atwood-Ferguson. Born from fragments of ideas and experimentation, the album was fused together in a burst of creativity, inspired by both collaboration and Green's escape into the wild. The artwork for Fragments is by Neil Krug, who previously created the art for 2017's Migration. This album consists of 12 sonic affirmations, showcasing some of the most captivating grooves Green has ever produced. The strategically placed ballads capture a world in flux while radiating hope. "Tides," featuring Chicagoan singer and poet Jamila Woods, served as a catalyst around which the album began to take shape. Green reflects, "I knew I had a centrepiece, I knew how it was all going to sound." Collaborating with Miguel Atwood-Ferguson, musical themes started to emerge, and recording orchestral musicians in studios further elevated the songs, bringing them "out of the box" even more.
