The soundtrack of "Gamma," composed and directed by Enrico Simonetti, offers a seamless fusion of classical, jazz, and pop music, with elements of progressive and funk-rock. The titular main theme, released as a 7-inch single, topped the charts, leading Cinevox Record to release an LP featuring tracks like "Gamma" and "Drug's Theme," specially crafted for the TV show. The album also includes various other compositions by Simonetti. The production of the "Gamma" soundtrack, much like other works of its time, is shrouded in mystery, with Goblin's involvement in the recordings adding to its allure, following their success with "Profondo Rosso." Notably, "Drug's Theme" appears to have emerged from a spontaneous jam session involving the quintet from Rome.
