Limited double vinyl LP pressing in gatefold sleeve. Includes digital download. "Greatest Hits" is Bruce Springsteen's first compilation album, released on February 27, 1995, on Columbia Records. It features a collection of some of Springsteen's hit singles and popular album tracks over the years, along with four new songs at the end, mostly recorded with the E Street Band in 1995. This release marked Springsteen's first collaboration (albeit partial) with his backing band since the late 1980s. The album includes shorter versions of some original tracks. The addition of the "new" songs was documented in the 1996 film "Blood Brothers." Notably, "Murder Incorporated" and "This Hard Land" were originally unused 1982 songs from the "Born in the U.S.A." sessions. "This Hard Land" was re-recorded more than a decade later for this compilation and both tracks went on to become staples in Springsteen's live performances. "Greatest Hits" was a commercial success, reaching the top of the U.S. and UK album charts and selling over four million copies in the U.S.
