Limited 180gm vinyl LP pressing. "Hard Promises" is the fourth album by Tom Petty and The Heartbreakers. The album is RIAA certified platinum and includes the hit singles 'The Waiting' and 'A Woman In Love (It's Not Me)'. Peaking at #5 on the Billboard 200 chart, the album also features guest vocals from Stevie Nicks of Fleetwood Mac on the duet, 'Insider'. Tom Petty, renowned as the lead singer of Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers, was also a member and co-founder of the late 1980s supergroup, the Traveling Wilburys (performing under the pseudonyms of Charlie T. Wilbury, Jr. and Muddy Wilbury), as well as a member of his early band Mudcrutch. With numerous hit singles both with the Heartbreakers and as a solo artist, Petty's music spans across adult contemporary and classic rock radio stations. His musical style has been described as rock and roll, heartland rock, and even stoner rock, appealing to a wide audience, including younger generations. Throughout his career, Petty has sold over 80 million records worldwide, solidifying his spot as one of the best-selling music artists in history. In recognition of his contributions to music, Petty was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2002.
