SUNFLOWER BEAN / HEADFUL OF SUGAR - Sunflower Bean is an indie rock trio from NYC, characterized by two vocalists who often alternate within a song. Their sophomore album, "Twentytwo in Blue," was co-produced by Jacob Portrait of Unknown Mortal Orchestra and Matt Molnar, formerly of Friends. The album debuted on the UK's TOP 40 Album Charts and Billboard's Independent Album Charts. In early 2019, the band released the EP "King Of The Dudes," featuring the track 'Come For Me,' which was named BBC Radio 1's Hottest Record In The World. Recorded in LA in the summer of 2018 with producer Justin Raisen, 'Come For Me' became the band's first single to chart in the US on Billboard's Triple A Rock Chart. Sunflower Bean has performed at Bernie Sanders' 2020 rally, alongside the Strokes, and their subsequent singles 'Moment in the Sun' and 'Baby Don't Cry' were also BBC Radio 1's hottest records. Julia Cumming collaborated on Yves Tumor's 'Strawberry Privilege,' and the band has toured extensively with artists such as Beck, Cage the Elephant, Interpol, Courtney Barnett, among others, while also gracing numerous international festivals. The band describes "Headful of Sugar" as an album exploring the lives of outsiders in the modern world, disillusioned yet hopeful, where true connection with others is the real
