"Hysteria" is the fourth studio album by Def Leppard, released on August 3rd, 1987. It remains the band's best-selling album, having sold over 25 million copies worldwide. The album features hit singles such as 'Animal', 'Women', 'Pour Some Sugar On Me', 'Hysteria', 'Armageddon It', 'Love Bites', and 'Rocket'. "Hysteria" topped both the Billboard 200 and the UK Albums Chart. Produced by Robert John "Mutt" Lange, the album's title was inspired by drummer Rick Allen's 1984 auto accident and subsequent media attention. This album also marks the final appearance of guitarist Steve Clark before his passing, with songs co-written by him later appearing on the band's next album, "Adrenalize". "Hysteria" serves as the successful follow-up to the band's 1983 breakthrough album, "Pyromania".
