This record is the Connoisseur Edition of "In Cauda Venenum" by OPETH, featuring the Swedish version. The 180g black vinyl 2LP comes with a gatefold sleeve and a 16-page booklet.

During lockdown, Mikael Åkerfeldt, the mastermind behind OPETH, gathered a team of musical enthusiasts to tackle the challenge of transferring a complex Pro-Tools recording onto vinyl while maintaining sonic excellence. After experimenting with various methods, they decided to transfer the album to magnetic tape before cutting the vinyl lacquers from the tape itself. The result is a warm, powerful, and dynamic master that aims to replicate the sound quality of Åkerfeldt's favorite records from the past.

The mastering process took place at Atlantis Studio in Stockholm under the supervision of Mikael Åkerfeldt, Stefan Boman, Janne Hansson, and Sami Sirviö. The dead wax inscription on all four sides features an illegible signature followed by "at schnittstelle," along with the hand-etched catalog number AF0091V.
