Released in April 1992, "In The Running" was produced by Jones and Ross Cullum, with Executive Producer Rupert Hine and mixed by Bob Clearmountain. The album marked a shift towards piano-based melodies, moving away from electronic instrumentation. Known for its deeply melodic sound, the album features meticulously-crafted songs addressing personal, societal, and environmental themes.
