Live 2020

A month before the pandemic hit Norway - and the rest of the world for that matter - Darling West released their fourth album, "We'll Never Know Unless We Try." They managed to perform two or three shows before everything was canceled, and the country went into lockdown. Recording a live album during lockdown may seem counterintuitive, but that's exactly what Darling West decided to do. When Norway partially reopened during the fall of 2020, the band recorded their performances at Parkteatret in Oslo and at Folken in Stavanger. These recordings form the basis of the songs on "Live 2020." Despite the limited capacity at the venues, it's gratifying to know that they can now reach a larger audience through this recording. "Live 2020" features songs from Darling West's entire catalogue, showcasing their longing to perform live on stage. With six months having passed since their last live show, the energy captured in these recordings is truly special. This record serves as a testament to that unique period.
