Opting for an intimate theater setting over the spacious Oakland Coliseum, Hendrix's concerts quickly sold out, leaving over a thousand fans disappointed on the event night. Amid escalating tensions, Jimi, unaware of the chaos outside, delivered a memorable performance with the Experience. Setting the stage by urging the audience to live in the moment, the second set of the evening is captured here in its entirety and original sequence.

The recording captures Jimi Hendrix's performance at the Berkeley Community Theatre on Saturday, May 30, 1970, during the 2nd show at 10 PM. This release is under the ℗ © 2012 Experience Hendrix, L.L.C., under exclusive license to Sony Music Entertainment, distributed by Sony Music Entertainment. The shrink wrap sticker highlights this as "The Authorized Hendrix Family Edition," a definitive 2LP collection featuring Jimi's complete performance in its original sequence.
