Double vinyl LP pressing. 2012 release from the Australian Alt-Psych rockers. Tame Impala, consisting of Kevin Parker (vocals/guitar) and Dominic Simper (bass), was formed in Perth in 1999 when they were just 13 years old. They started with bedroom recordings and later in 2007, Jay Watson joined them on drums and backing vocals. Their sound is reminiscent of the late '60s, drawing inspiration from various bands of that era such as the Nazz and the Jimi Hendrix Experience. Hailing from Western Australia, they immersed themselves in Psychedelic Fuzz, meticulously recreating the sounds of their preferred period using vintage gear and production techniques that harkened back to 1968.
