The album features international hits such as 'Only Girl (In the World)', which won the GRAMMY for Best Dance Recording. 'Loud' received three more GRAMMY nominations, including Album of the Year, Best Pop Vocal Album, and Best Rap/Sung Collaboration for "What's My Name?". Rihanna, a Barbadian singer, songwriter, and actress, was born in Saint Michael and raised in Bridgetown. She began her music career by recording demo tapes under the guidance of record producer Evan Rogers in 2003. Rihanna signed a recording contract with Def Jam Recordings after auditioning for its then-president, hip hop producer, and rapper Jay Z.
