Luke Haines presents "Setting the Dogs On The Post Punk Postman," a thought-provoking album addressing various subjects such as the Eastern Bloc, Ivor Cutler, filmmaker Shuji Terayama, U-Boats, Liverpool's audience, swimming with Andrea Dworkin, and a unique fable about a suicidal pumpkin couple. While not a concept album, Luke Haines has granted permission for it to be transformed into a five-act play by a group of experimental Japanese psychologists for a future performance in Tokyo. Additionally, Luke Haines will showcase his first solo painting exhibition at Eston Arts Centre, Middlesbrough from March 4th to April 3rd, 2021, featuring new canvases depicting wrestlers and a Christmas tree adorned with baubles symbolizing members of The Fall music group. "Setting The Dogs..." also features contributions from Peter Buck (REM) and Julian Barratt (The Mighty Boosh).
