Featuring a blend of pedal steel, oud, guitar, hurdy-gurdy, and piano, this album is a reimagined version of the original Field Works album Cedars, designed to immerse the listener even further into the forest setting. In this exclusive limited-edition release, Stuart Hyatt meticulously deconstructed and reconstructed each track from Cedars, stripping away the narrators' voices and introducing Julien Marchal on piano as the new focal point. The 15 new tracks are titled after lines from the accompanying poem, Deciduous, penned by Cecily Parks. Drawing inspiration from the Field Works album Cedars, the music showcases the talents of Marisa Anderson, Fadi Tabbal, and Stuart Hyatt, with performances by Julien Marchal, Youmna Saba, Dena El Saffar, Danny Paul Grody, Bob Hoffnar, Stuart Hyatt, Tomás Lozano, Nathan Bowles, Alex Roldan, Fadi Tabbal, and Marisa Anderson. The enchanting forest sounds were captured by Harrison Ridley in the serene Welsh countryside.
