Celebrating 40 eventful years of existence, Canada's progressive sci-fi metal innovators Voivod present their special Anniversary release "Morgöth Tales". This album includes fresh studio (re-)recordings by the band's current lineup of 9 specially selected, not-so-obvious picks from the band's diverse back catalog between 1984 and 2003. Additionally, it features a brand-new song in the album's title track, "Morgöth Tales". Special guest appearances by former Voivod members Eric "E-Force" Forrest (E-Force, vocals on "Rise") and Jason "Jasonic" Newsted (ex-Metallica/Flotsam And Jetsam, bass on "Rebel Robot") can be found on this release. "Morgöth Tales" follows Voivod's 15th studio album "Synchro Anarchy" (2022), which was highly acclaimed and nominated for Juno Awards, reaching #7 in the official album sales charts in Germany.

Lead vocals on "Rise" were recorded at Death City Studio in Toulouse, France, while the bass on "Rebel Robot" was recorded at SKH Studio in Stuart, FL, U.S.A. Additionally, the drum intro sample on "Condemned to the Gallows" was used with the kind permission of Metal Blade Records.
