Brian Melvin, an American jazz drummer, co-leads Beatlejazz with Grammy Award-winning pianist David Kikoski. Melvin is renowned for his work with Hall of Fame bassist and composer Jaco Pastorius, resulting in a total of five recorded albums. Notably, their joint discography includes the 1985 release "Night Food," the sole album released while Pastorius was still alive. On "Night Food," Pastorius and Melvin are accompanied by Rick Smith, Paul Mousavizadeh, Jeff Osammon, Aushim Chaudhuri, and Jim Loveless. This album is part of the Timeless Records 45th Anniversary Jazz Series and is offered as a limited edition of 1000 individually numbered copies on yellow colored vinyl.
