Released in 1979, Off The Wall includes the chart-topping hits "Don't Stop 'Til You Get Enough," "Rock With You," "She's Out Of My Life," and "Off The Wall." This picture disc edition showcases both sides of the original album art. Off The Wall marked his nineteenth album overall since Diana Ross Presents The Jackson 5 (1969) and served as his debut album under Epic Records, the label he remained with until his passing nearly three decades later.

First time on an official picture disc, this album was issued alongside other Jackson albums on picture disc to commemorate what would have been his 60th birthday. It is packaged in a clear PVC sleeve with a double-sided card insert.

Rhythm tracks and vocals were recorded at Allen Zentz Recording, horns were recorded at Westlake Audio, and strings were recorded at Cherokee Studios. The album was mixed at Westlake Audio and mastered at A&M Recording Studio in L.A.

A personal note from Michael Jackson reads: "I dedicate this to the year of the child & my mother - Love, M.J."
