Double vinyl LP pressing in gatefold jacket. Formed in 1969 by Daevid Allen, one of the founding members of Soft Machine, Gong released classic albums such as "Camembert Electrique," "Flying Teapot," and "You," establishing themselves as one of the most unique, innovative, and experimental rock groups of the Seventies. Before his passing in 2015, Daevid Allen expressed his vision for a future Gong to be uplifting, exploratory, and wholly positive. To carry on this vision, Kavus Torabi, Fabio Golfetti, Ian East, Dave Sturt, and Cheb Nettles were chosen to continue the legacy.
"Pulsing Signals" captures Gong's spirited performances during The Universe Also Collapses tour in 2019, recorded live at The Wardrobe in Leeds, The Cluny in Newcastle, and Rescue Rooms in Nottingham. This album marks their final tour before the global pandemic disrupted plans. Due to travel restrictions, the band couldn't convene to work on new music. Responding to fans' requests for a live album, bassist Dave Sturt meticulously selected the best performances from the 2019 tour's multi-track recordings, resulting in "Pulsing Signals."
Recorded by Pete Wibrew, mixed by Frank Byng, and mastered by Andy Jackson, this live album showcases Gong's international sound. The artwork, designed by Steve Mitchell, complements the band's musical journey since 201
