This 180gm vinyl LP pressing features a digitally remastered edition of Metallica's second studio album 'Ride The Lightning', originally released in 1984. Recorded over a three-week period at Sweet Silence Studios in Copenhagen, Denmark, with producer Flemming Rasmussen. Rooted in thrash metal, the album displays the band's growth in songwriting, attributed to bassist Cliff Burton teaching the others music theory. In contrast to their debut album 'Kill 'Em All', Metallica incorporated acoustic guitars, instrumentals, and harmonic complexity. The album's title is inspired by a passage in Stephen King's novel 'The Stand'.
