Limited 180gm vinyl LP pressing. "Sam's Town" is the second studio album by alt-rock band The Killers, released in October 2006. Vocalist and primary lyricist Brandon Flowers aimed to create an album that captured everything important that led him to where he is today. The album's title is inspired by Sam's Town Hotel and Gambling Hall in Las Vegas, the band's hometown, and a significant sign visible from band member Mark Stoermer's room in his youth. Influenced by artists like U2, Duran Duran, Bruce Springsteen, The Beatles, Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers, Electric Light Orchestra, and Dire Straits, among others, "Sam's Town" features the hit singles 'When You Were Young' and 'Read My Mind'.
