Recorded on February 15, 1964 at the Van Gelder Studio in Englewood Cliffs, New Jersey, this Blue Note Records release is a part of the "Blue Note Classic Series." The album comes with a plain white poly-lined inner sleeve and is pressed on 180 gram vinyl. The protective shrinkwrap features a "Blue Note Classic Series" sticker on the front and may have a "Made in Germany" sticker on the back. The LP mastering was done by Kevin Gray at Cohearent Audio, ensuring high-quality sound reproduction from the original analog tapes. The runouts are etched, with a variant where '1|' is inverted.
