Limited vinyl LP pressing. Second-hand Smoke is a compilation album by the band Sublime, released in 1997 following the passing of lead singer Bradley Nowell the year before. Despite being a compilation, it includes unreleased tracks, as well as recycled and remixed versions of previous songs. This album is considered the band's final release. After Nowell's death, the surviving members, Eric Wilson and Bud Gaugh, initially intended to disband. However, due to contractual obligations with MCA, they were required to release three more albums. Formed in 1988, Sublime's lineup remained unchanged until their breakup, with Bradley Nowell on vocals and guitar, Eric Wilson on bass, and Bud Gaugh on drums. The band's discography includes three studio albums, one live album, five compilation albums (featuring unreleased material), three EPs, and a box set. Sublime achieved mainstream success in 1996 with their self-titled third album, which was released shortly after Nowell's tragic death from a heroin overdose.
