With more hits than most artists can dream of, Palmer's musical journey began after the dissolution of his rock-oriented band Vinegar Joe. Teaming up with the legendary Meters and Little Feat, he crafted the sparse, funky sound of his 1974 solo debut album, "Sneakin' Sally Through the Alley." Featuring Lowell George compositions like "Sailing Shoes" and the title track by Alan Toussaint, the album seamlessly integrates Palmer's own tracks such as "Hey Julia" and "How Much Fun."
