On February 7, 1960, tenor saxophonist Hank Mobley, accompanied by pianist Wynton Kelly, bassist Paul Chambers, and drummer Art Blakey, recorded his masterpiece: Soul Station. The album features a collection of six songs that highlight Mobley's lyrical style, from the breezy opening track, a rendition of Irving Berlin's "Remember," to bluesy originals like "Dig Dis" and the up-tempo number "Split Feelin's." Soul Station remains a timeless jazz classic.
