Stevie Ray Vaughan's third studio album, "Soul To Soul," was released in 1985, following his successful debut, "Texas Flood," by two years. Transitioning towards a more soulful R&B-tinged blues sound, Stevie introduced two new band members on keyboard and saxophone for this album. The band skillfully interprets cover versions of songs by Hank Ballard, Doyle Bramhall, and Willie Dixon, infusing a variety of influences into SRV's modern blues style. Vaughan's original compositions such as “Say What,” “Ain't Gone 'N' Give Up On Love,” and “Life Without You” showcase his unwavering passion for delivering authentic blues while evolving as a songwriter.
