The album quickly climbed the charts, peaking for six consecutive weeks at No. 3 on the Billboard chart and achieving RIAA platinum certification. It includes songwriting contributions from members of singer Marty Balin's previous band, Bodacious DF, and Jesse Barish, who went on to become one of Balin's regular collaborators.
