Double vinyl LP pressing of this newly-remastered 1996 album. Sublime is the eponymous third and final studio album by the ska punk band. The album was produced by Paul Leary and David Kahne. Sublime was formed in 1988 in Long Beach, California by vocalist/guitarist Bradley Nowell, bassist Eric Wilson, and drummer Bud Gaugh. By the time of recording their major label debut, Nowell had been battling a heroin addiction. Sublime was recorded over a three-month period in Austin, Texas. The album's musical style incorporates elements of punk rock, reggae, and ska, along with dancehall, hip hop, and dub music, featuring a wide range of tempos. Nowell's lyrics touch on themes of relationships, prostitution, riots, and addiction.
