Limited gray colored vinyl LP pressing. 'The Crackdown' is the fourth studio album by Cabaret Voltaire, released in 1983. This album marks Cabaret Voltaire's first release after Chris Watson's departure. Known as one of their strongest works, 'The Crackdown' showcases the band blending menacing electronic textures with a dance/funk rhythm, resulting in a distinctive and challenging record. The CD version includes four additional tracks that were originally released as a free 12" with initial copies of the LP. All audio has been remastered from the original tapes, with vinyl cutting done by Stefan Betke, also known as Pole.
