Portland, Oregon-based musician Graham Jonson began his musical journey at a young age, playing piano as a toddler and discovering the music of J Dilla in fifth grade. By age 16, he was self-releasing singles, eventually adopting the moniker quickly, quickly in 2017. His music quickly gained popularity in the 'chill beats' scene on platforms like SoundCloud, YouTube, and Reddit, with some of his early tracks amassing over 10 million plays on Spotify. Despite his young age, Jonson has established himself as a DIY internet success story, showcasing his talents as a songwriter, vocalist, and arranger on his Ghostly International debut, "The Long And Short Of It". Drawing inspiration from artists like Madlib, Jonson's music blends elements of jazz, hip hop, R&B, and psych-pop, creating a genre-defying sound. Recorded during a brief stint in Los Angeles, the songs on the album reflect Jonson's introspective exploration of themes such as anxiety, apathy, distance, and desire with a blend of vulnerability and introspection. "Phases," the opening track, features a spoken word performance by poet and activist Sharrif Simmons, setting the stage for Jonson's debut as a vocalist and instrumentalist. Tracks like "Come Visit Me" and "Shee" delve into personal themes of love and longing, while songs like "Leave It" and "I Am Close To The River" showcase Jonson's musical versatility
