Limited 180gm vinyl LP pressing. Includes poster and digital download. 2020 release. "The New Abnormal" is the sixth studio album by The Strokes. Produced by Rick Rubin, it is their first album in seven years, following "Comedown Machine" (2013), and their first release since the "Future Present Past" EP (2016). The album artwork features the 1981 painting "Bird on Money" by American artist Jean-Michel Basquiat. "The New Abnormal" is packed full of razor-sharp hooks, vintage vibes, and NYC cool that made The Strokes an early-2000s phenomenon.

Packaged in a hard plastic (PVC) outer sleeve with cling plastic wrap, this record includes a custom inner sleeve, a foldout poster, and a download card. The track numbering is sequential across sides.

Additional engineering was done at Lucy's Meat Market, with assistant engineers Rob Bisel & Dylan Neustadter at Shangri-La, and Kevin Smith at Groove Masters. The record was recorded at Shangri-La Studios in Malibu, CA, with additional recording at various other studios.

Certain tracks were mixed at Strongroom Studios in London, UK, and others at Shangri-La Studios in Malibu, CA. The mastering took place at Marcussen Mastering in Los Angeles, CA.
