Vinyl LP pressing. "The Sinister Urge" is the second solo studio album by former White Zombie frontman Rob Zombie. Following his successful debut album "Hellbilly Deluxe" in 1998, this album was released by Geffen Records on November 13, 2001. Drawing inspiration from horror and suspense, Rob Zombie titled the album after the 1961 film of the same name directed by Ed Wood. The album includes the hit single "Demon Speeding" which reached the Top 20 on Mainstream Rock charts. Collaborations with metal icons Ozzy Osbourne (guest vocals on "Iron Head") and Kerry King (additional guitars on "Dead Girl Superstar") among other guest musicians contributed to the album's platinum sales status.
