Double 180gm vinyl LP pressing. Torn Down: Mixed Up Extras 2018 has been half-speed mastered by Robert Smith and Tim Young at Metropolis Studios, London. Robert Smith selected his favorite songs to showcase the diversity of The Cure's catalog. By October 2017, he had completely remixed the 16 songs that appear on Torn Down: Mixed Up Extras 2018 in chronological release order. The Cure, formed in Crawley, West Sussex, in 1976, has undergone several lineup changes, with vocalist, guitarist, and principal songwriter Robert Smith remaining the sole constant member. After the release of the album Pornography in 1982, the band's future was uncertain. Smith aimed to move beyond the band's somber image, infusing a greater pop sensibility into their music.
