Low Cut Connie has become the alter ego for frontman, pianist, and songwriter Adam Weiner, who has been the band's only constant member since its formation. Beginning as an impromptu recording session in 2010, Low Cut Connie gradually evolved into a vehicle for Weiner's songwriting and his distinctive onstage persona. The band has earned praise for its high-energy live performances, which Los Angeles Weekly described as "unmatched in all of rock right now." This 23-track all-covers album was recorded live throughout the pandemic from the band's livestream series, Tough Cookies.

In 2020, amidst the challenges of quarantine, Will Donnelly and Adam embarked on a spontaneous journey to uplift their fans through improvised performances. What started as a simple duo livestream evolved into the globally watched Tough Cookies variety show. Viewers became an integral part of the experience, leading to moments that were wild, emotional, and even spiritual. Despite obstacles like Adam's battle with Covid, the show went on with the help of Adriana Sabatini and George Murphy. Over 500 songs were covered, capturing the essence of the series with raw, live recordings. Technical perfection was never the goal; it was all about spreading joy. This collection showcases some of the best moments from Tough Cookies, a heartfelt tribute to all the resilient souls out there. Special thanks to Reid Martin and Joe Sivick for their contributions.
