Back in print, now on yellow vinyl! Ten Years After's iconic performance of ''I'm Going Home' at Woodstock solidified their reputation as dynamic performers capable of captivating large audiences. Alvin Lee's electrifying guitar work on his bright red Gibson ES-335 mesmerized the 400,000 festival-goers. The track 'I'm Going Home' showcased the band's ability to energize not only massive crowds but also intimate venues like Klooks Kleek in London, as captured on their second album, 1968's Undead. The song, originally recorded with wires running from Decca Studios next door, was a product of the band's early days in Hamburg in 1962, where they honed their skills in extended jam sessions. Over the years, the song evolved into a unique masterpiece, blending blues and rock elements into a high-octane performance that became a staple in their live shows. Undead, a compilation of the band's best tracks from a May 14, 1968 set, showcases their signature bluesy jams on songs like 'I May Be Wrong, But I Won't Be Wrong Always' and 'Spider in My Web.' The album also features their innovative take on Gershwin's 'Summertime/Shantung Cabbage' and a fiery rendition of '(At the) Woodchopper's Ball,' where Alvin Lee and organist Chick Churchill shine with their captivating solos. Regarded as one of the finest live albums
