Mascot Records is proud to announce the release of 'Voices', the new studio album from blues rockers, The Cold Stares, available everywhere March 10th, 2023. For the past ten years, The Cold Stares have toured the world relentlessly as a duo, captivating audiences across the US and Europe with their fierce, blistering live show despite their minimalistic guitar-and-drums setup. Now, the band is embarking on a new chapter by adding a third member and embracing a classic power trio sound they were raised on with their explosive new album, Voices. Guitarist/singer Chris Tapp expresses, "The chains were off when we made this record. Suddenly, all the parameters that had dictated what we could and couldn't do just disappeared, and we were free to create whatever sound we wanted." This sense of artistic liberation is at the core of Voices, which elevates The Cold Stares' unique blend of blues, southern, and hard rock to daring new levels. Recorded in just two days with producer/engineer/mixer Mark Needham (known for his work with Taj Mahal, The Killers, Imagine Dragons, Walk the Moon, Fleetwood Mac), the album represents the band's most mature and diverse collection yet, striking a balance between gritty muscle and tender emotion.
